What’s the opportunity?
Join our passionate team at Qoria as an Finance Manager for our Sri-Lankan business unit! Based in Colombo, this pivotal role offers the chance to own the finance function of the Sri-Lankan business division while getting involved in the finance function globally. You will collaborate with both global and local teams to ensure alignment with Qoria’s financial objectives and deliver timely results and analysis while processing key transactions of this high-growth portion of the business.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
As a key member of our local Finance Team, you will:
Accounting, Operations & Payroll: Execute daily finance operations, and ensure efficient service delivery, including billing/receivables, payroll and accounts payable, leading through to financial reporting for both internal and external purposes.
Partnership Globally: Perform the Finance function in Sri Lanka and act as a partner to the global Finance Team and Senior Leadership in relation to our Sri-Lankan business and beyond.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Drive local budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support local business decision-making and long-term execution of strategy.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with Sri-Lankan financial regulations, tax requirements, audit requirements and global financial policies.
Internal Controls: Ensure adequate local internal controls, financial audits, and risk management practices to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Cost Optimisation: Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency, manage expenses, and support profitability goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with local and global teams, including HR, Engineering and Sales, to ensure smooth financial operations and alignment with business objectives.
Processes: Maintain local financial systems in collaboration with the global finance team to enhance efficiency and accuracy with a long-term view.
Job requirements
What skills & experience do you need?
To excel in the role you should bring:
Educational Background: A bachelors’ degree in Accounting or CIMA, CA, ACCA or Similar capacity qualification.
Professional Experience: At least 10 years in the Accounting field, ideally within an entrepreneurial global environment. Prior leadership of an entire business unit finance function would be ideal, even if within a small business. A general understanding of the tech industry would be a bonus.
Compliance Knowledge: Applicants should have a firm understanding of Sri Lankan financial and taxation regulations and compliance obligations.
Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with experience working across global teams.
Positive Mindset: A solution-oriented, proactive approach with a commitment to problem solving.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English communication abilities.
