We're looking for an Operations Team Lead that will help us make our infrastructure more scalable and secure, and our deployment cycle faster and more reliable.

Mission

Lead by example and stay hands-on while evolving Qustodio’s Operations team, focusing on infrastructure, reliability, and platform services.
You will bridge engineering, product, and business, ensuring our internal services and infrastructure are scalable, secure, and reliable, enabling product teams to deliver value faster and more effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the operational and infrastructure strategy, aligning it with business and product objectives.

  • Provide hands-on leadership to the Operations team, ensuring a robust, scalable, and reliable backbone that supports fast and safe product delivery.

  • Lead and mentor the operations engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, improvement, ownership and collaboration.

  • Act as a key communication channel between stakeholders, product, and engineering to prioritize and resolve operational and infrastructure initiatives effectively.

  • Champion a product mindset for internal platforms: understanding and improving the experience of internal and external users.

  • Define, implement, and monitor SRE practices: SLIs, SLOs, SLAs to ensure reliability and user satisfaction.

  • Automate operational processes leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native patterns.

  • Build and maintain robust observability systems (monitoring, alerting) to ensure platform health and proactive issue detection.

  • Lead incident response and conduct blameless postmortems to identify and address root causes while improving processes.

  • Optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining scalability and performance.

  • Ensure the platform adheres to security best practices and contributes to meeting compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001).

  • Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent in operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of experience supporting and developing business-critical systems in high-availability environments.

  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams in an Agile environment.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating discussions and driving alignment.

  • Product-oriented mindset: ability to understand, prioritize, and improve the experience of internal and external users.

  • Expertise with Linux-based environments and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including core services: compute, storage, networking, databases, monitoring.

  • Advanced experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native architectures.

  • Strong understanding of SRE practices, incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

  • Solid expertise in observability disciplines.

  • Experience with automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).

  • Familiarity with compliance and security standards

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining strategic focus.

  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, organizational, and communication skills.
